SUMMARY: Isola d’Elba, very, very popular among Italian tourists during the season, has its distinct beauty all the time. Geologically this small island is built up of various minerals, of which the most precious is an uninque type of tourmaline called Elbaite. Historically – of course – Napoleon… For trekkers there are numerous trails and even via ferratas. If you didn’t hear about Elba before – you’re lucky because there is lot to see and do. Not to mention the other far flung islands of Tuscan Archipelago… (yeah, Catch-22 was set there!)
