SUMMARY: Balaton lake, due to its warm waters is quite popular among water sport enthusiasts. There is much more to do however, especiallly on the „northern” hilly side of the lake. Past volcanic activity, caves (where you do the boating). pretty villages, round churches and even stupa all sum up to very interesting region.
